TKDMitch
Beautiful morning here in Nottingham, and clearly the sights were just as beautiful earlier this morning as our riders got up at unGodly hours to be ready for a a 4.00am start! 4
TKDMitch
Final preparations were made last night, with riders carefully leaving their helmets under the table rather than taking it with them for the ride 1
TKDMitch
It's either very early or one of our riders has just realised the enormity of 1000+ miles in one day and a 4.00am start
TKDMitch
All bar one rider got away this morning, just waiting for details on them but it was electrical gremlins at the start line causing issues. https://fb.watch/dN5IDG7MKP/

TKDMitch
Rich Sutton is the first rider in at Pitstop 1, closely followed by Ian Richardson. Weather looks great and they're making good time

If you're following a particular rider there should be a photo of everyone over on the facebook page, but Im not going to stick all 40+ on here so here's a quick sample.

TKDMitch
The folks at Pitstop 4 are sending me pics of the food they've prepared for the riders. Awesome job by Pat and Iain. You guys talk amongst yourselves for a bit, I'm just nipping up to Scotland for a bit of "quality control" 4

TKDMitch
Unfortunately we've had our first confirmed retirement. Peter Robinson had electrical gremlins on the start line, traced to a failed ignition module which he couldn't get a replacement for. That's lousy luck and I'm sure he must be gutted. Commiserations and I hope you can join the ride again next year.

TKDMitch
The first riders have rolled through Pitstop 2. Nige Rea's bike won't rev over 7K or take more than 1/4 throttle. It's going to be a loooong day for him.

Good to see Luke up the front after the Brackenburg of Doom last year. if Nige is going that fast on a fucked bike, then bloody hell.

Yep, more power to Luke, great to see him going well. Nige isn't known for hanging around, is he?

hawkati
Good to see all the riders in & out of pitstop 1. Quite the flurry sometimes- there's a few hunting in packs. Honourable mention to our Andy Crackett for fast hustling and a momentary erk for one rider on a green Kwak 500 who has chenshing fukudieyung tyres.😱
