Britains wierdest bike shop?

Theres a bike shop local to me, TTT Motorcycles in Sudbury and it must be the weirdest bike shop ive been to. In this day and age where its all corporate image and spotless shiny showrooms with poncy coffee machines its refreshing to see an old fashioned used bike showroom thats rough around the edges and a bit grubby but in a good way.

Its in an old factory that used to make gaskets and rather comically the kitchen for the cafe is in what was the old laboratory and the laboratory sign still hangs above the door!

The range of used bikes is like nothing ive seen in the last 20 years. It would be fair to say that a lot of them are "fixer uppers" but theres some real gems in there too.

So if you find yourself in the area do pop in. Oh, and the cafe does an all you can eat breakfast at weekends for £10. And theres a Dalek (apparently with an engine and will do 50mph!) to watch over you while you eat!20220812_144248.jpg.8935e0d6f83fbb9d1d39b9e48d2c8dec.jpg

Z900 with just 407 miles showing. I do lust after this just a little bit. With a couple of Z650 to keep it company. 20220812_142201.jpg.e519c115f5b1c6d550a2bd52a6366b6f.jpg

A random Ferrari and Lotus. Both for sale.

A lovely NSR250 with Tyga pipes and body kit.

Didn’t the Hamilton edition have those stupid wire spokes with a double rim?

Its an alloy multi spoke wheel. I couldnt get a side on shot as Ben had moved another bike beside it to get a supercharged Triumph Thruxton down off a plinth for a prospective buyer.

Looks great, might have to take a weekend ride over there.

I'd bloody love that RD400.

They have multiple aircooled RD. 125, 200, 250, 400.

That shop's got a lot of stock too, there's a load of bikes there.

I remember when it opened a few years ago, they had about half a dozen bikes in there!

Ben the guy who runs it said the owner has another TTT in that London and needed more space so he randomly bid on this property and much to his suprise he won it and had to sort out a mortgage double quick!

It really is an ongoing work in progress.  They have a bike night every monday, occasionally a weekend event with bands etc. Youre made to feel so welcome.

Although ive not used them myself ive heard very good things about their workshop and i believe they have a dyno too.

The yellow bike, to the left of the photo with the Black 900 Darmah, is that a Bimota Mantra?

The bins are probably worth more than some of the bikes...:getmecoat:

A V7 Guzzi of that vintage is around £8K though.

(pretty sure that's a V7, my old mate Dave has two....I absolutely hate them, awful shitheaps.)

Nah, it might be a Bimota, but it says 'db' on the tail (I'm assuming the rear of the Mantra was as bad as the front ;) )

It's not a mantra, the tail and rearsets are different.

Looks like a db4

Mantra had the funky exhaust system too.

I'd like a DB4, same frame, probably same basic bike, bar the distinctive looks.
