How To Post Pictures

Yes, next to your image on PhotoBucket will be a selection of boxes with text in, go to the 'direct' one and copy the text in the box, then come over to the forum and then clicking the little 'painting' icon (the text 'image' will show in a little yellow box when you hover your cursor over it) just in the light grey/blue bar on the bit where you type, paste the copied text in the box labelled 'URL' and click 'ok' and you're done.

I use PhotoBucket

Works easy.

Click on your photo , above it is a linked chain icon, use the IMG code , simple copy, and post that full link in your post.

Ok Guys,

Thanks for the help, but I'm still pulling my hair out. When I copy and paste the image code in the URL box which is headed Image Poperties , I press the "OK" button next to the "Cancel" button absolutely nothing at all happens.

When I then try to close with the x in the top r.h. corner I get a message from the webpage saying something or other has been changed.

What the heck am I doing wrong?

I can't post with a direct copy and paste of the URL thing directly into the attachments as I think that has been disabled and neither can I paste the URL thing straight into my post

Any ideas what may have gone wrong? I know it's got to be something I've done incorrectly.

Mark.

The image must be hosted by a third party like PhotoBucket

You use the IMG link code in your post on PB.

You will get two options usually , one IMG URL for posting on websites, one for posting onto message boards. Choose the later.

Copy the full URL and post it in your PB post.

The easiest way i've found using photobucket is the following;

1. Find the picture you want to copy on to the forum and hover your mouse over the cog in the top right hand corner of it to bring a menu down.

2. Select 'Get links' from this menu and a pop up box should appear with a bunch of different links.

3. Select 'Direct Link' and copy the whole link (just clicking the link once should copy it)

4. Come over to the forum and paste it directly into the reply box.

5. Put [ img] at the start (including the square brackets) and [/img ] at the end of the link (note the backslash on the end tag) without any spaces between the img tags and your link text. (You'll also need to remove the spaces inside the square brackets.)

6. Hit 'Post'!

Try as I might, I just can't embed photos from Flickr onto here. The post previews correctly but I get the error "You do not have permission to use that image extension" or somesuch. I've tried it in Windows 7 and 8, Google Chrome on both. I have found it easier to put the photos from Flickr onto Facebook, then whilst viewing the image in FB right click on it, select "copy image URL" and then paste that into the embed image dialog box on PBMF.

"how do you paste directly into the reply box when it will not let you use paste?"

Top left corner; toggle the switch to off, paste, then toggle switch back to on.(works with I.E.)
