The skid factory vids are good....love the Bedford van engine swap build.

Between Skid Factory, MCM and a few other car and bike channels, I watch more YouTube on my telly than actual TV channels.

Is it just me, or were the 'Howie did it' videos on the flexible shaft auxiliary drive tremendously calming and therapeutic?

I haven't watched those yet. They're in my to watch list.

I love this. The attention to detail is amazing, but by fuck, I wish they's stop using the step drill for every fucking hole.

Just put the right sized drill bit in, you lazy bastard.*

*Obviously not lazy, as they'll spend fucking days making one bracket, but you know what I mean.

It's addictive viewing, definitely. But, for all the extra metal bracketry they've added to the mini, it's just as well it's got a bigger engine to pull it!

Might be quite useful that once it's through, it stops on the next step. Instead of pushing through a few inches and mess with the primer or loom?

As I'm  lazy arse...

How long have they been at this thing?

Blows my mind but what if it drives like a fucking sack of shit?

A good few years I think now. They must be nearing the end of the dry build by now though, if they are fanning about with speakers and the like?

True, But they use it when drilling holes in brackets, FFS.

If it's in the drill and makes an adequate hole, why bother changing?

Because it bashes through until the next step and leaves a chamfer on the hole.

Its not a big deal, really. I was always told to use the correct tool for the job, and it surprises me, given the level of detail they go to with everything, that for this, they seem to take the lazy way. That's all.

Try drilling a hole on thin sheet steal with a normal drill bit. it's a mess.

Correct tool for the job in this case.

* Yes I know you can grind normal drill bits to cut nice holes in sheet metal, but they are faf  all use for anything else then.
