charlie R Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 Can anyone help, I've got a chance to buy a set off light road/race wheels for my GSXR1000 but they are K3/4 and mine is a K1. Is there any way to get them to fit a K1 or not??. Would I have to change the forks and/or swing arm??. Any advice will be greatly appreciated, cheers Charlie.
charlie R Posted July 8, 2009 Author Report Posted July 8, 2009 01-04 1000 front wheels are the same- straight swaps. You will need to change the brake discs K1 1000s had 320mm discs on the front, K3/4 had 300mm discs. Rear discs on K1 are 240mm, K3/4 are 220mm. Dunno about rear spacers/sproket etc though. Details for compatibility here: cheers for the info sounds like it may well be worth the chance and get some spacer made up for the back, once again thats.
