Carbon fibre wheels

Hello, friend has just got a bike with BST carbon wheels and although it doesn't need new tyres just yet it won't be long.

Any advice for getting them fitted? Does it have to be a specialist or just someone very careful who's done them before? There's a tiny bit of damage on the rims already but not bad for a 10 year old bike.

Thank you, I thought they would be super fragile but it's amazing how solid they are.

Compared to metal wheels they defo require more attention. They will fray if you´re not careful.

Cheers TLRS. Thankfully they just have a couple of small chunks out, had a really close look at the edges and they're nice and crisp, but I can see how they would fray if the resin deteriorated.

If I would have some cf wheels again I´d make a protector lip from mix to harden metal putty.
