Led indicator issue.

I've fitted some very tasteful led indicators to my Moto Guzzi.

Rears fitted first. Checked they flashed properly and all was well.

Fitted the fronts the same and now all 4 stay on all the time when either direction is activated.

Im assuming its a resistance thing and I need either a different relay or some ballast resistors?

Relay would be preferable as the current one is fairly horrible anyway😁

Yes you need a different flasher unit to suit tge lower current draw from rhe leds.

Ta. Thought it would be something daft like that.

What threw me was the lack of flashing as in the past when I've fitted them to bikes they have flashed double speed.

Transpires it's a bit more of a ballache than just a flasher relay.

The circuit somehow connects left and right via the indicator dash light and all 4 come on. So it needs diodes putting in to stop it crossing over.

What a faff.... Might put the old ones back on😂

FIXED IT...... mostly.

Tried 2 x led specific flasher relays and I could not get the lights to flash for love nor money.

Went back to basics and bought a new 2 pin standard relay and 4 x led resistors, just in case, I only needed 2.

All is now well apart from a have an idiot light for turning right but not for turning left, a single light does both.

Odd.

Ill live with it for now.
