ssray Posted October 7, 2022 Author Report Share Posted October 7, 2022 Txt 1986 Yamaha Fj1200 · Driven 61,000 kilometres Bought this last week with the intention to make it into a cheap winter hack/commuter. Unfortuantly it needs abit more work than I have time for so I've decided to move it on at a loss in the hopes someone can do it justice and sort it out. If not these bikes sell well as parts I simply don't have the time to brake. I've had the bike hooked upto the car battery and the electrics work, mechanically it's all there but chain is missing and the fluids from the brakes and clutch have been drained and the brake pads removed so the bike rolls freely. 61k miles, nothing for these engines. Bike comes with old style v5 and no keys unfortunately. It's a shame I can't use it for what I wanted too, given more time I would love to get it on the road as these fj1200's are perfect commuters but I havnt the time before winter sets in.
