firebeast
Got my brothers old basic forks from a 90's honda to do the seals on.. First one popped apart fine after a couple of pulls, but the 2nd one,, its jamming up in the bushes and I have so far tried heating it up via my mot guys suggestion, after not having any joy,, but even with a large hawkati style hammer and very tough piece of wood, half moon so it wraps round over half the leg,, its not going and although the odds hard it's starting to mash up the Ali leg! Already used top quality penetraing oil to try getting the old seal to move but nothing,, Tbh, I am happy just getting the seal out now and replace that, after wasting way too much time on it, so any ideas folks? firebeast
Wasn't the bushes,, I drilled a small hole in the seal,, added a ton of heat to the leg and managed to lever the seal out whilst redders,, the fork has since pulled apart as per the normal,,, thank fook for that.. 🙏
