Suzuki gearbox sprocket loose on the shaft

Hi @Superdunc and all other Soozookeeee experts,

After some advise on the LDU Turdpot.

After slinging the old chain & sprockets in the bin, I went to fit the new ones.

The  gearbox sprocket slides on the shaft but the splines are showing through the sprocket, event with the washer in place by about a millimetre meaning when the nut is tightened the sprocket is loose on the shaft.

I have had a look on a parts fiche and double checked the old sprocket (which is identical) in the bin and a parts drawing but can't see anything missing or wrong.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Phil

Please ignore the above as I just went back out to the garage and realised the back face of the nut is recessed to clear the splines!
