Rivet gun, drill adaptor.

Has anyone here used one? Are they any good?

I was just looking for a fathers day gift, so looking through tools on ebay with nothing really in mind. It's not something that will be used a lot but it's something I know he doesn't have.

So am I wasting my money?

I'd be interested in knowing the same answers as the OP, if anyone has experience?

I have seen these, but I haven’t used one, I have used a battery rivet gun and an air rivet gun and they were very good

We have a 3/16-5mm air riveter and a 1/4-6mm air riveter at work and they are great but not very portable.

The battery riveter looks good, but for something that will be used very occasionally it's a bit too pricey.

I'll take the plunge and get one of the drill driven ones and report back when I've tried it.

It all looks like a bit of unnecessary chew. Does it really get any better or easier than a decent 'Lazy Tong' riveter hanging on a nail in the workshop?
