Which airfilter. For folk with nowt better to do

Recommended Posts

Very similar results to what David Vizard found nearly 40 years ago, with the difference being that he also tested for filtration and the K&N was leagues ahead of anything else in both effective filtration and flow. Even after a long desert race, the K&N was still doing its job and flowing almost as well as it did when new.

He also did dyno runs before and after races when using a filter and running without. Despite there being negligible difference in flow and power before the race, the choice of filter (or none at all) was responsible for a huge power difference at the end of the race - to the tune of something like 30% reduction!

I've only ever bought K&N air filters since.
