sticky throttle spindles in carbs

Anyone got any good ideas on how to free them off?

Keihin VB's 2 of the 4 are really sticky.

if I remove the butterflys, do the throttle spindles pull out?

Have a look at the LITETEK website....the guys that supply the viton o-ring carb kits from Thailand.

There is a tutorial on there to rebuild Mikuni carbs including butterfly shaft removal, its inline 4 but should cross over....

theyve been in the tank for a while and are lovely and clean - 2 of them (maching ones Front left and rear-right) have sticky throttles - like really sticky - takes a fair bit of effort  to turn the spindle and the spring hasnt a hope of closing it.

well, the simple answer is yes  - remove the butterfly and the spindle pulls straight out.

currently cleaning it all up and looking for my silicone grease...
