rureadyboots Posted March 29, 2020 Report Posted March 29, 2020 My entire bike is covered in little white fur spots. Should I set fire to it? 3 Quote

Bram43 Posted March 29, 2020 Report Posted March 29, 2020 “Furry Calipers” got me all excited that this was going to be about the lack of razors and waxing products due to the virus based supply issues and photographs of the inevitable onslaught of the wild female topiary. Disappointedly heading back to Pornhub. 1 1 Quote
Alpinestarhero Posted March 30, 2020 Report Posted March 30, 2020 Try brushing it clean, soap and water first. Ideally yu'll get the pistons out a little so you can see the surface of them and check they are ok. Might just be worth stripping and rebuilding with new seals though, to be safe. 1 Quote
DesmoEddy Posted March 30, 2020 Report Posted March 30, 2020 Alloy wheel cleaner (one of the ones with a mild phosphoric acid content) and a toothbrush. Then a wipe-over the caliper bodies with a (car) wax polish, keeping it away from braking surfaces. Seals the slightly porous anodised finish, so the furry spots don't return so quickly. 1 2 Quote
