adjustable forks for RGV?

I thought they were all adjustable... The '91 onwards bikes VJ22 and VJ23 (the ones with USD forks) are all 5-way adjustable according to Mr.Suzuki. If the forks in question are non adjustable then there's a few options as long as the yokes havent been modified to take whatever forks its got in it. SP models will definitely have been adjustable and I think suzuki used to do kit internals for the SP bikes to make them even more adjustable so there should be something out there that will do. Also GSXR400 forks arent much different either although the GSXR had a slightly wider front wheel if I remember correctly. Hope this helps, Ben.

I have RGV usd forks on my TZRGVKLR thing, only adjustable for preload.

AFAIK Gixer 400 fork legs are the same as fully adjustable RGVs. How about Priller RS250 forks, if you can find any?

how about some internals from another bike?

plenty do 25mm cartridge kits for modern bikes, i cant see why one of those kits or a less expensive set of internals can't be taken from another bike?

Only the SP models had fully adjustable (rebound, compression screws) and they are as rare as the proverbial.

I raced an RGV for a few years and the main problem with the standard RGV forks are they are too soft, Maxton did mine up, they fit beefed up spring but with lighter grade oil than standard(10w) i think, anyway the front end feel on these forks were sublime.

A few people fit a set from something like a GSXR, but you will needs to change the yokes to and do some mod to the stem as it is smaller on the RGV than the GSXR and then you are back to forks settings again, cos the GSXR is heavier, the spring rates are all to buggery, so it's back to a suspension specialist to reset it for the RGV, which when you think about it is 60 -70 kilos lighter.

I would recommend standard forks re-worked for your weight etc and then drop the yokes by 10mm through the forks, this quickens up the steering and loads up the front better.

I lapped old Mallory in 58.9secs with the standard reworked forks fitted, so there can't be that much wrong with them.
