TKDMitch
Hawkati has had to admit defeat on his LDD bike after long efforts trying to get it to work. I don't think the human brain can comprehend the pain he'll be in after 1000+ miles on this. 1

His ass is harder than benders.

TKDMitch
Apologies everyone, I'm having PC problems today. There will be a lot more photos and videos as soon as I can sort them out. We've had three riders break down on their way to the start. Hawkati you know about, and Keith Bousefield who completed the whole event in yellow furry suit last year. Keith was travelling from home in Inverness to the start line when he had a shock spring break near Kendal. He sorted that with another spring, then his chain snapped and took out the sprocket cover. Looks like he's go that sorted too and should be underway again. Tony Ashton's Suzuki has died, refusing to run despite carbs being stripped and cleaned in the last few days. He's completing the event on his normal bike instead. Johnny Mac and the support wagon are at Land's End for the ceremonial start tonight, Keith may not make it and I've just heard that Neil Morris's bike has stopped and he will miss the ceremonial start too. Otherwise most riders are either there or very close. Early night then a very early start tomorrow morning!

TKDMitch
Unfortunately Neil Morris has had to drop out. His LDD bike went bang, then his own bike died too. Bad luck Neil, not for want of trying. He's going to fly up North then ride one of the other bikes back down.

DesmoEddy
Does he / did he work at Lancaster Honda? Dad was racer Dave Morris - rode singles and (at one point, long ago) an FZR400RR? The Neil I know lent a single-cylinder racer to J. McGuinness, I think?
