RS570 Gamma Race Bike

I have started to build a bile for next years power bike championship series. I desperately mis seeing 2 stroke racing bikes being used properly, with TZ750's and RG500's costing the earth I have decided that an Aprilia RS250 chassis fitted with Ohlins front and back, a nice pair of Marchesini's and most importantly a heavily tuned RG570cc two stroke motor is the way to go. 120bhp and 125Kilos, should be competitive in the open class. I just need a couple of things, I have finished the chassis I have the wheels, Suspension and ancillaries but I am still looking for an engine and an 8 stone nutter to ride it.

Any ideas?

Dave

club racing needs more people like your goodself david, we have the formula 250/500 class that has very cavalier attitude to rules but not the same as a proper open class 2 stroke to compete with the r1's ect. we have open 400 thats a field of rs250' hondas and tz's but no big capacity 2 strokes in the bigger open class races. i guess because its easier to buy and tune a gixer but personally id rather ride a fully sorted stroker like yours and certainly as a spectator would enjoy seeing a 120hp+ 500 leap the mountain/blast through hall bends. the big thou's are exciting/fast to watch but not the same as a wailing 500. havnt seen a 500 raced for many years. surely someone quick will gladly ride it. i have no doubt its power to weight will make it a force to be reckoned with a certain tracks. nice work. what pipes yer gonna use? i suggest you look up bdk if your tuning a big gamma. there specialist in that arena.
