drunkn munky
Ive always as a rule of thumb changed both chain and sprockets when either is worn but although my chain is knackered through being stood for too long the sprockets are talon and look fine. So are talon sprockets hardned like supersprox and will they be ok to keep and just replace the chain?
David W
If the chain is knackered through standing rather than wear I'd say they'll be OK. How many miles had they done with the chain?
fran9r
They wear as a set and sprockets are the cheaper part...your choice but I'd replace the lot.
chancho196
Are they hooked or looking worn? If they are like new, don't bother but, if in any doubt, change them.
billysbones
They wear as a set and sprockets are the cheaper part...your choice but I'd replace the lot. +1 if you don't change them, your new chain will wear incredibly fast.
Evilchicken0
Nah, keep them on there .... they don't sound fooked. Clean and then turn the rear around (if it's the same both sides). The worst that can happen is you wear your new chain 10%* faster and you'll learn some kind of lesson either way * maybe
