hipringle
Hi, my rad has slight pitting in one area & could do with something like a spot weld to keep it right. Its not leaking but looks a bit thin where its pitted, would a soldering iron with any special solder fix it or would I be able to use some kind of ali solder you heat up & can buy at b & q, any help appriciated. dont want to resort to a huge lump of chemical metal just yet...... kwakbiker
I have used some ali rod in the past to do a fix on my 9r, worked fine but then my stepdad is a bit nifty with stuff like that Could just pop it along to a rad repairers, should be a cheap fix
lorenzo
If it's just thin, then a smear of chemical metal is what I'd be doing... Who me, botch? Never...
