Swarf Collection With A Magnet

I was making an exhaust manifold for a turbo conversion on a car from stainless steel.

Off I popped to the shop to pick up a magnetic swarf collector to make it easy.

I realised my mistake as soon as I got home :(

I've spent a month looking at this sodding thing. Can't find the original video. And now we've held and lost the Ranfurly shield after the shortest ever tenure. Fuck knuckles.

So, in brief, the pikey swarf collecting idea was to put a magnet in a plastic bag, skootch it around the workshop floor, then hold it over a Bucket and take the magnet out of the bag. Simple, but clever.

If your swarf is non magnetic, pour superglue over it then attempt to pick it all up with a broom ;)
