Jamie Posted February 8, 2009 Report Share Posted February 8, 2009 Hi, Doe anybody have any ideas how to remove the clutch basket from My 2004 R6? Pressure plate and centre removed easily enough but the basket is attached to a gear wheel which is too big to come off the splined shaft and clear the cases. Does the clutch basket seperate from this gear or do you have to separate the cases in order to remove the whole asembly? Coose Posted February 8, 2009 Report Share Posted February 8, 2009 There's probably a steel bush in the centre of the clutch basket that you can pull out once you have removed the clutch centre. This should give you a bit more movement on the basket to be able to wiggle it out. Don't, under any circumstances try to remove the basket from the gear!
