Kai
Hi everyone, I have a question, basically i had a minor spill a while back and didn't notice (until i tried to lift the bike with the paddock stand) that i've snapped off one of the stand bobbins from the swingarm. There's no damage to the swinger but the bolt of the bobbin is still in there. Any suggestions on how to get it out without damaging the swingarm or do i just get used to the fact that i'll never be able to use that kind of paddock stand again? Cheers. Kayla
Use a selection of left-handed drills to drill into (and start to undo) the sheared bolt. Much easier and nicer than those horrible extractor thingers. http://www.northerntooluk.com/products.asp?partno=150272E
gregtrx
Get a can of plus gas on it to make it easier to shift out.
Kai
Get a can of plus gas on it to make it easier to shift out. Would WD40 work? I've never seen plus gas anywhere! Good idea kayla.
VeeTeeArr
Is the bolt hole open at the back? If it is drilling the bolt might force the snapped thread to turn and undo itself out of the back of the hole.
Kai
You could always bring it round to mine and use my beers. A couple of crates are a nearly finished but I need to get some more anyway. Ok seeing as you have the right tools.
