lorenzo
I'm after some of the rubber grommets that you get on bodywork sometimes, the ones that go through things like seat units where you bolt it on etc. Anybody know where I can get some generic ones from? Liamo
Maybe ask your local breakers if you can salvage some fro his massive supply of fucked plastics?
Mark/Foggy
Look around for a set of Wad Punches, find some 3mm or 6mm rubber and smack it with a hammer. JD

blow_away
Go to your local electrical wholesaler such as Denmans, Edmundsons etc. Ask for a box of open grommets and a box of blind grommets, should be about £2. Electricians use them to line the cable entry to metal back boxes behind sockets and switches. The open ones can be cut and made to a smaller diameter, the blind ones can be drilled through to suit. You can also use tubing - cut it too long and put the screw through it to squash it down. Takes a bit of trial and error to get the length right but it does work. Neither solution is ideal, but can get you through while you wait 4 - 6 weeks for the original parts to arrive.........
