Harvey Mushman
Is it safe to assume when you put a disc on a flat surface, if it appears to rock then it's scrap? Was selling the rear disc off my crashed bike on ebay but when I went to get it ready for posting I noticed it didn't sit flat on my table. I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't unless it's fucked so I guess it's another piece for recycling. I know it seems like a daft question but it seems to be the mounts where the bolts go that are slightly out so didn't know if once it's torque up on the bike that it might be fine. toosmooth
Not such a daft question; I've written off disks before only to have them straightened by a clever engineer with a straightening device that resembled a hand held lump of metal on a wooden shaft. If you can find a bloke like that, it'd be worth a crack at having them modified before launching them at the scrappy.
Dan
maybe the table is bent?
Evilchicken0
The only way to get them "flat" is to have them skimmed like a cylider head, but rear disks are gairly cheap so it's not really worth it.
Harvey Mushman
It's destined for the scrap metal pile. I was only listing it for £25 so it's not worth the risk of bad feedback.
