j0hnny Posted February 10, 2012 Report Posted February 10, 2012 its time for some new chain and sprockets for my k8 thou, i havent replaced a C&S for years as i dont normally hang on to bikes that long, any suggestions as to what to get? i wont be doing huge milage, maybe 5k or thereabouts for the year, just road riding, something of good quality that doesnt look like it was made in a taiwan scrapyard...

VanWinkle Posted February 11, 2012 Report Posted February 11, 2012 I prefer anything heavy duty X ring (one chain is as good as the next) and OE sprockets, that way you get to do 2 chain replacements to 1 set of sprockets.

Wallie Posted February 11, 2012 Report Posted February 11, 2012 Iv always stopped away from the cheap ebay jobbies for peace of mind. Always found renthal and talon are very good for the sprockets with DID/Tskuabi (sp?) having decent chains. Just shop around, i got gold renthals + DID for the same price as new ones on ebay after looking around.
