Evel Knievel's first televised jump

Recommended Posts

1967 and ABCs Wide World Of Sports was covering a motocross race for which Evel's jump was a sideshow. They heard about the jump, thought it might make a neat segment and launched the career of America's most famous stuntman.

Notable for several things - Evel looks like a clean-cut preppy boy in the interview, wears yellow leathers and you may be surprised by his choice of bike

It's a Triumph!
