Removable Baffles - Scorpion Cans

A silly question I know, but how do you remove the baffles

from a can? With them in the bikes test at 89db, so I feel

a little more noise may be permissable.

There's a small screw on the outlet that obviously secures the baffle, but when I remove the screw the baffles is still tight in the can.

I don't want to use brute force only to find there's something else holding the baffle in place.

As always, help and amusing pisstakes welcome.

I thank you.

Yep, it's just stuck. When you put it back in, splodge a load of copper slip around it, so you'll only have to swear a little bit to get it out next time.

+1 on the brute force. Try rotating it, it's the only way to get mine out.

For some stupid reason someone had put a load of what appears to be silicon sealant around the baffle on my Scorpian can which makes it even more of a bas tee ard to get in and out. I've cleaned off as much as I can and it dosen't rattle which is the only reason I could think of to put the stuff on.

Thanks Peeps,

I'll try the brute force with some grips.

I can't get in from the other end as the can and pipe are one piece until they meet under the engine.

Gotta love Laverda engineering. Nothing's ever straightforward.

Well, that was much easier than I thought. A couple of yanks and out they came.

Sounds much better without the baffles too. Can;t wait to try her out properly, rather than just blipping the throttle

Thanks again to hose who replied.

Kermit.
