hoona6
I'm stumped and peeved. The gearshift on my Daytona 955 is not as I'd like it to be. It's clunky and doesn't shift 'cleanly'. Needs a good boot up the box. I've adjusted the chain to the recommended 35-40mm of slack and made sure that there's some free play at the clutch lever but it's still there. It's blighting my enjoyment of the bike. Any thoughts? Please?

lorenzo
I know this sounds silly/obvious, but have you tried stripping and cleaning all the little linkages? Makes a suprising amount of difference. But he's right you know, it's a triumph. Get a stronger foot.

bikecat
i find that my speed trip likes it when the chain is a bit on the slack side of adjustment...set it to about 40mm when sat on the bike..

Id go for this.....big thing on kawasaki's(zx9's and 6's especially)......and lets face it the triumphs were orginally copies of the big K
Alex_H
Cush drive not knackered? My gear change lever had side to side play on my r1 which gave similar results, took up the play with a nylon washer
