Hendo
Can anyone recommend me a set of aftermarket clip-ons for a TZR 250 3XV? Forks are 50mm in diameter. Ive had a look and there are loads out there, so some recommendations would be nice. They dont need to be anything fancy, and TBH, the less blingy they are the better. Im trying to retain the stock look of the bike as much as possible. Does anyone know of any TZR specific ones? Is there anything in particular I should be looking for as its a road bike and needs to retain all the switchgear etc? Cheers Andy (who knows nothing about clip-ons). wazrs257
You could get a pair of Harris or similar aftermarket clip-ons for less than the cost of one of those! With the added advantage of being able to replace the tubes seperately from the clamps, should the worst happen. You can get whatever colour you like, Harris site seems to be playing up, but: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/50mm-Factory-Racing-...=item56411802ea http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Yamaha-R1-04-10-09-5...=item2a0bd2c5d9 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Yamaha-R1-R6-Detacha...=item3a559dda32 I would say they're all of a muchness, as long as you avoid chinese/hong kong. I have nothing against far east cheapness, just never tried their quality. Even the cheapo black powder coated steel ones will do the job on a budget. I fitted harris ones on my bandit with gixxer usds on. They come up fairly regular on ebay as shown above. They have a single bolt fitament so make sure you threadloc. They are fairly shallow though which is handy. No issues on mine and I scored them for 40 notes and they are mint. Just leave a search on ebay till a pair come up at a price you are happy with. Seen them go for 100 quid ballpark but you can get cheaper like I did. Mark
Hendo
I would say they're all of a muchness I kinda thought that, I just wasnt sure about all the different angles (rake?) of them. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Yamaha-R1-R6-Detacha...=item3a559dda32 Quite like them ones as they are fairly standard looking. Also like these - http://www.mandp.co.uk/productinfo/573196/...ce-Clip-On-Bars Cheers Andy

banoffee
Have got Harris ones on my GSXR and the are 50mm. They look good, not too bling however are rather long and seem to be quite a steep angle.
