orange7r Posted September 24, 2010 Report Share Posted September 24, 2010 hey all i wrecked my cbr and it did little damage but on the clutch side of the bike by the frame under the fairing there is a vacum tank with two small hoses connected to it that connets to the air box somewhere, do i need this part or can i bypass it. thanks in advance for any help. orange7r Posted September 24, 2010 Author Report Share Posted September 24, 2010 It sounds like the PAIR valve, that injects air into the exhaust ports to burn hydrocarbons in the exhaust stream. It can be disconnected, but you will have to block off the ports on the head. Details here. You won't gain any real benefits from doing this mod, other than loosing a tiny wee bit of weight. thats not it, its on the clutch side of the bike behind the side fairing, i looked it up an the micrfisce and it said it was a vacum tank, it has two small hoses coming out of the bottom of it running to the side of the front of the airbox Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
