Guzzirider
I'm in the process of fitting a new Brembo front brake master cylinder to my cafe racer, and have got hold of a Beringer remote fluid reservoir. I'm guessing that it is important for the rubber hose to be without kinks, but is there an ideal height for the reservoir ? Or does it not matter as long as its higher that the master cylinder, and the hose is not kinked? Any useful advice appreciated. Cheers Guy
lorenzo
Being higher than the master cylinder is nice to help get air out, but once it's all fully bled up then it's OK wherever it is. Think about how syphoning works.
kaighn80
as above once its bled up it doesn't matter where the reservior goes as its pretty difficult to get it below the lowest point of the breaking system (the calipers) so it will always draw fluid up from the reservior because there is a greater weight of fluid below the hight of the reservior (this is the syphoning effect
