krazyk Posted August 8, 2010 Report Posted August 8, 2010 hi all, I want to change my rear shock over and remembered how dodgy the bike was hanging from the roof on a rope, so got to thinking about an Abba stand. The problem was you cant get them over here and postage from UK plus E-hay´s silly prices made it a no go. So I came up with this. its designed to slot onto the bike when on front and rear stands. Two choices of mounting are, rear engine bolt hole or swing arm shaft
krazyk Posted August 8, 2010 Author Report Posted August 8, 2010 This was the first trial to check the height of the hole as you can see now drilled and covered with insulating tape to protect it adjustable for width now fitted with clamp bolts top and bottom. bolt and sleeve cut to shaft length, 2 washers on ends and then 2 spacers to stand I removed the rear stand on the first fit and was ok, now its all clamped its rock steady
