Kin Useless Posted July 20, 2010 Report Share Posted July 20, 2010 In the last session at snetterton yesterday, 5th gear decided to give up the ghost. When I selected the gear, it would initially drive then it felt like the chain was slipping and unless I was imagining it, the gear selector was having a fit going up and down (hard to tell at 120mph, but I felt it hitting my boot). all other gears were fine. When I got the bike home, the box felt tight and was reluctant to select 1st - i'm thinking it's got very hot and bearings are starting to nip up but the 5th gear thing worries me a touch. I really need to take the engine out anyway and go through it all - it's done 40k now. Any advice would be marvellous. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
