yorkshirepudding
Recently bought a 1994 CB500 for commuting, and the brakes are just plain dangerous Single disc front, drum rear. Anyone got any experience of improving them, beyond the usual HH pads and braided hose? Thinking maybe cylinder/caliper from a different bike? Harvey Mushman
The later models (99 onwards?) have a Brembo caliper which must be better as all the guys who race CB500s fit them. The later bikes also came equipped with a rear disc brake instead of the drum. In fact, head over to http://www.cb500racing.co.uk/ , and you'll learn everything you need to know to improve your CB.
