CB500 brakes

Recently bought a 1994 CB500 for commuting, and the brakes are just plain dangerous :) Single disc front, drum rear.

Anyone got any experience of improving them, beyond the usual HH pads and braided hose? Thinking maybe cylinder/caliper from a different bike?

Ta muchly

The later models (99 onwards?) have a Brembo caliper which must be better as all the guys who race CB500s fit them. The later bikes also came equipped with a rear disc brake instead of the drum.

In fact, head over to http://www.cb500racing.co.uk/ , and you'll learn everything you need to know to improve your CB.
