battery keeps blowing fuse

ok this problem is screwing with my head

removed battery from my 929 blade because it was dead and charged it up using one of those cheapy aldi jobs

when i try to reconnect it up it keeps blowing the 30 amp fuse WTF is going on :ph34r:

Disconnect your reg/rec and try again ,its not unknown for them to go tits up ( technical term )hth

I had exactly the same problem as this a few months ago. It turns out that some of the wires coming from the reg rec had been rubbing on the frame and shorting out, blowing the main fuse.

I just wrapped electrical tape around the wires, and hey presto, hasn't blown a fuse in months.*

Now that i've said that, the fuse is garunteed to blow when i try and go home after work today.

cheers for the advice lads connected up the battery outa me race bike and bingo bango no problems

checked for loose or exposed wires and couldnt see anything

does not explain what the problem was tho but at least its running
