V6Jon Posted April 4, 2010 Report Posted April 4, 2010 Having reduced the back end of the bike to its component parts I am currently cleaning and checking everything before I get the wheel / shock / swingarm back and start re-building. Having checked the needle bearings in the suspension they seem fine with no play or grit in there, but they are a bit "sticky" to turn, which I think is down to the state of the grease in there. So I was wondering if I would be OK to clean these with Jizer or some such, and then re-back everything with nice new grease ? What are the learned opinions ?
