zx9ral
Clue is in the question, really. My K&N filter is full of gunge & shit. Do i blow it out with an airline, and use a K&N recharger kit to recharge it ? Or just blow it through & put it back. Its the one in the airbox, BTW. Not individual ones on the end of the carbs. Cheers in anticipation.
fran9r
I'd use an airline any any filter oil...the recharger is some cleaner and an oiler, so your doing the same thing.
Gregorious77
I got the cleaning kit, the cleaner completely degreases it, then you hose it off, let it dry then re oil. the oil makes the filter red again and like new. easy peasy. an air line could damage it IMO
Mr.Pigdog
I tend to clean up the majority of the muck by banging it hard on a flat surface then going over it lightly with an airgun.Went to a dyno place once and they made a big deal of showing me airfilters that when held up to the light had little pinprick sized holes from people blowing through them too hard(i got the hunch they were being pedantic and showing off).anyways the result is i hold back from using an airgun directly on them
zx9ral
Thanks everyone. I'll go for the kit, then.
