CALIPERS THAT FIT A GSXR1000K1

Hello, can anyone help I'm trying to up rate my brakes on my k1 gsxr1000. PB say use SV1000 K3 calipers but they are quite hard to find. Tried to buy a set of SV K3 calipers but was told they don't fit! Can anyone tell me what other calipers will fit my K1 and be better than standard ones or does any other model share the same brakes? cheers Charlie

You'll be looking for tokico 4 pots off a wide selection of suzukis and some kawasakis perhaps. Measure the distance between the mounting holes on your calipers and then get sellers to do the same. Some slightly earlier ones, SRADs, some bandit 12's etc, look bloomin' similar but actually have a slightly different bolt spacing which means 'grrr' noises when you come to fit them.

Caliper Swaps

It's been noticed recently that a lot of people want to know what calipers are a straight swap to upgrade their bikes with no problems, and without having to go to the effort of making up a set of adapter plates.

So if your bike is listed in the same section as another bike below, you can change calipers without any worries.

For ease I shall just call the calipers type 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
