drunkn munky Posted January 27, 2010 Report Share Posted January 27, 2010 Whist speaking to the powder coaters i ask if they had the facilties to acid dip petrol tanks which unfortunatly they didnt but sugested that they could blast and zinc coat the tank for me. budda Posted January 31, 2010 Report Share Posted January 31, 2010 Yeah done a few, you have to blank it all up with speed tape (aluminium tape) then wash it out with some fuel afterwards and bobs yer uncle. Blow it all inside with compressed air after the blasting process and give it a good slosh out. Have heard of one ending up with a blocked fuel filter and thus breaking down.
