shalewhale Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 Anyone know of any suspension specialists near(ish) Peterborough? I want to sort out my Fazer and seen as I'm a total spazz at mechanics I want it doing properly. Ta. SW.

shalewhale Posted January 22, 2010 Author Report Posted January 22, 2010 BSD at Eye??? Taq Which Eye, Cambs or Suffolk?
MonkeyJim Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 MCT aren't a million miles away, in Stowmarket, and are who I'd reccomend irrespective of wherever you are based. http://www.mctsuspension.com/contact.htm +1,000,000 I took the R1 there early last year. I thought I had a pretty decent set-up, well it was until after Darren @ MCT had worked his magic. Turns out 'before' was really just 'ok'. Afterwards it was 'fucking amazing'. I can't think of any other way to put it. The forks were revalved, the ohlins shock re-sprung and serviced, and as I was feeling flush the steering damper was treated to a service. Not cheap [all in was around £350-400] but worth every single penny Stowmarket - it's not just turnips arrrrrrr, boy
r1bazza Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 Another for MCT,dunno if BSD actually does suspension set-ups.
jollygiant Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 Stowmarket - it's not just turnips arrrrrrr, boy Thats suffolk so it's Arrrr Boi, Norfolk is Arrrrr bouy! And yse MCT are the best nowhere near peterboghorrr really but well worth the ride
budda Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 What are you looking to achieve mate, if you just want what you have setting up for you, then there may not be any need for a specialist. I.E. sag setup is relatively simple and does nake a real difference, I'm not far from Peterbog horror and could probrably help you out. However if you want yer sussies re-working then thats another matter.

The bike is 10 years old and I think the suspension all round needs freshening up cos I suspect its never been touched. I'm also not exactly the same build as Dani Pedrosa...... so I figuered seen as I'm likely to be keeping this bike for a while I'd get the suspension fettled so that its more in tune with my, er, stature. But, having said that, if you wanna come round and tinker with it feel free, but bear in mind that when it comes to wielding a spanner, i'm a complete plank. Or tool. I do make good tea though!
