Adam
Hi, I've been having a look at some Couger Red heads for an RS250, does anyone know what the aim of a toroidal cumbustion chamer shape is? Is it just to give rise to an increase in turbulence? Cheers Adam
Jay
I think it is as you say, for extra help with the Schnurle loop effect. But I may be wrong...

edgefinder
Is it just to give rise to an increase in turbulence? Although i'm sorta making this up, from what I have read between the lines its mostly true. It makes for better turbulance in the upper part of the combustion chamber in a motor with flat piston tops, narrow squish band running at high RPM. cagimaha
They also put the spark in a more central position which improves the flame propagation through the combustion chamber, supposedly reducing detonation.
