b1h karl Posted January 2, 2010 Report Posted January 2, 2010 hi, was just wondering if the standard ecu can be adjusted after fitting a can,on occasion since fitting the can usually in 2nd low revs the bike seems to stutter like its dying, pull clutch in and carry on its fine, saying that it did it on standard can too so is it a fuel problem..any help ideas be appreciated
b1h karl Posted January 6, 2010 Author Report Posted January 6, 2010 hi fran i have no idea...how would i go about checking this
fran9r Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 Same as with carbs -there will be take-offs to fit carb balancers/guages to so you can tweek the adjustments. Gatting them all balanced correctly will make a big difference to the general running, and it's more than possible it will cure your probs.
b1h karl Posted January 6, 2010 Author Report Posted January 6, 2010 tks fran ill get it done at service...
fran9r Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 I'd check out the price of a set of vacuum gauges -firstly it's about the most complex bit of kit needed for a basic cervix so your money will be recovered 1st use, and secondly it allows you to double check the settings -on my 9 they really need doing in between the intervals. Maybe some bike mates have a set? I choose this option as I'm tight.
b1h karl Posted January 7, 2010 Author Report Posted January 7, 2010 cheers fran, ill look into it as im going to keep the bike for a while may be a good investment..
