paul8899
hello Just about to change the coolant in my bike and was wondering if I can use car coolant or does it have to be bike specific coolant? Thanks
lorenzo
Personally I just make sure that it's OK for aluminium engines (99% of stuff is these days anyway) if I'm using car stuff, never had any trouble. I'm sure somebody will come along with a better answer at some point.
hipringle
I think Lorenzo has the correct answer, if you need to be really anal you could mix it with deionised water instead of normal tap water, supposed to help stop corrosion further but I never have even tho I carry a 400ltre tank of the stuff in the back of my van.
