Tomfoolery Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 That was sen-fucking-sational. Haven't ridden for a year, no practice, 2 seconds into the ride and *powerslide*. Man is a legend.
Pete Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 Yep, Soap Box time, There aint no way, no fuckin way anyone can tell me the kids coming through the ranks now, with electronics connecting their arse to their elbows have the ability Kenny and his generation of 500cc GP riders had. What did Julian Ryder say on faster? something like "anyone who can ride one of these 500cc 2 stroke motorcycles and put it on the grid is a hero, anyone!!" I'm afraid that isn't the case for me anymore. King Kenny, I salute you. I still think Bazza was best though. Pete
Tomfoolery Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 Stoner started in flat track racing in Oz...
Pete Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 is that you Tom or has Fredie somehow possessed the body of Tom? I'm not getting into this discussion again about if today's riders are as talented as yesterdays riders as its a hopeless case and as I've said above no-one can tell me, my minds closed to the arguments. Schwantz and Mamola regularly chase quick times on all the bikes when the season ends. Put Casey and Jorge on their respective 80's and 90's 500cc 2t and lets see who's closest to the fast times. I know who to put my money on!! Pete
