rsv rear shock

Hi guys.

I'm currently taking the rear shock out my 02 rsv mille as it's due a service (25 000miles old). I'm wondering if the sachs unit is easily bettered by an aftermarket unit or should I just get it rebuilt at mct suspension. I have already dropped the front through the yokes by 2 rings so 5 lines show now, and was wondering if an aftermarket shock would give me more rear ride height?

Any body fiddled/improved, with rsv mille's suspension.

PS: I like the odd track day and ride "briskly" .

Any topic related input would be much apreciated.
