laminator
Does anyone know how a Swiss GSXR600 is restricted and how to remove it? The bike is now in Portugal and I believe it's restricted due to the country of origin being Switzerland.
tootall
What year is it? If you're lucky it'll be a simple cut/reroute/splice at the ecu. If you're unlucky its cams.
laminator
Thanks for the reply, I'll find out the year and go from there.
laminator
I've just seen him and it's a 2004 model, registered in 2005. Any ideas on getting some more power, or where I can look to find out how to de-restrict it?
Evilchicken0
Why don't compare the cost of the bike ... and import ... with the cost of a UK bike (or even a full power import for sale here). Then you can see how much budget you'll have to derestict it. Iif t's as easy as gutting and splicing a wire then don't you think it would be done by now ???? Try contacting the Swiss GSXR600 owners club / forums they're bound to know how

laminator
Thanks again, I'll pass the info onto him. He's been given the bike in part-ex, for part payment for a horse of all things (he's a horse trainer) by a Swiss lady that now lives in southern Portugal. Not complicated at all The bike is for road thrash and Portimao track days. PS. I'm back in the UK now and it's bloody cold here.
