Jamie
Hi All, As the title suggests really. My 2003 R6 trackbike is due an engine stripdown over the comming winter months, i've not had the engine out since i bought it but i have fitted a slipper clutch and serviced it after every outing. I have no reason to believe there are any problems it only has 8000 miles on the clock and it runs well but i'm just going to pop her out for piece of mind and a nosey around as god knows what's previously been messed with!!!!!! Any areas i should pay particular attention to on this vintage of R6? Are there any peculiarities when dropping the engine out? any recomended fixes or mods i should consider whilst the motor is in bits? lorenzo
I've heard that 2nd gear can be an issue on earlier ones, although by 03 I'd have thought they'd have ironed that out?
