Hi all, got rid of the firestorm and i got a bit of cash burning a hole in my pocket. I`ve been ofered a tdr 250 for 800 notes and i`m very tempted to buy, i was just wondering if anyone out there has experience of these bikes and what to look for etc. Cheers :icon_salut:

if its tidy, nearly all original and hasnt done 50000.00000 miles then buy it. as all two strokes, it is set to go up in value.

Buy it, then sell it to me for £10. I want one so badly but there's never the money. Light as hell and the motor has that awesome 2 stroke fast revving thing going on, like it doesn't have a flywheel. They are rideable outside the powerband too!

Try the TDR website it's full of good advice and Iceman and Don 1 are very helpful

Buy one with good panels. The plastic becomes extremely brittle over the years and new bodywork is hard to source, look at the price it's going for on eBay.

TDRs are slower than the newer RGV, KR1S, RS250s, but i find mine a refreshing change to a big twin (RSV1000). As Greg said, they are easy to ride slowly yet still have a big cheesy grin inducing 8-10,000rpm top end buzz.

I agree with rgvneil, have a look around http://tdr250.co.uk/forum/, it's a cracking forum.
