kja.busa Posted October 15 Report Posted October 15 I'm looking for a tidy gsx-r swingarm, not the painted variety, the bare alloy (silver anodised) type. But they've all got little oxidisations marks, or scrapes. Is there anyway to tidy them up without resorting to either reanodising them or going down the (souless) polished alloy route? As ever interested to see what others do Quote
ssray Posted October 15 Report Posted October 15 Scotch pads? Would mean doing it again at some time though Quote
CMSMJ1 Posted October 15 Report Posted October 15 Can you get them ball burnished? Or someone like https://automotiverestoration.co.uk/factory-coating get them finished up as lovely as you could afford 1 Quote
426hemi Posted October 15 Report Posted October 15 Scotchbrite wheels on a 6mm shank, I did my zx9 frame and swingarm and a zx10 swingarm and my friends rc8 swingarm. Put them in a drill and away you go. 3 Quote
hawky Posted November 5 Report Posted November 5 Scotch pads and scotch bright wheels. Anything mirror polished or tarnished they work a treat on but downside is you regularly need to keep going over. Quote
426hemi Posted November 5 Report Posted November 5 They do clear cerakote now if you want scotchbrite surfaces to stay looking good easily. 1 Quote
Gix Posted November 6 Report Posted November 6 I have a K7 swingarm that has been blasted and then clearcoat Cerakoted Quote
