Adarmo
I know I must be missing something obvious... I have a CBR600F and have seen a 1" riser which is supposed to fit my bike (01) but I just can't see how it fits / works The clip on is round to fit the 43mm fork yet this is oval 🤔
Damnthistinleg
Don't mess about with those Godawful things. Just buy some new raised clipons for about £40 or whatever and swap them over.
Adarmo
I'm not even sure I will raise them, I've only ridden it locally in the cold / wet and on 14Â yr old tyres (ordered new) But I've seen these and they are simple so why the hell can't I figure out how they work ? Damnthistinleg
The last time I rode one of those I thought it had a quite relaxed and comfortable position compared to many other 'sports' bikes. I suspect that given a bit of warm dry tarmac and trustworthy tyres, it'll be perfectly fine as it is.
Jenny Pryde
^^^ What he says. The secret is in relaxing your arms into a generous bend at the elbow and supporting bodyweight with your core. It amazes me how many people ride sports-bikes with straight arms. Pat
Â I've not used them, but I can see where DTTL is coming from, as you're in effect halving the effective clamping area of the bar to the stanchion.
Adarmo
Thanks Pat, I googled but couldn't find anything That explains why I couldn't understand how they worked - what kind of half arsed solution is that ? You throw the safety measure of the circlips away and then only connect to half the amount of fork !
